Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SkillSphere Edu Platform — including browsing course content, creating an account on our e-Learning or e-Commerce Page, purchasing a course, or receiving a certificate — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease use of the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and SkillSphere Edu, a Partnership Firm registered in the State of Haryana.

        Key point: Using the Platform — including just browsing — constitutes acceptance. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
      

Section 02

Definitions

In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

"Platform" — the SkillSphere Edu website, including SkillSphere Edu's e-Learning and e-Commerce website, mobile applications, APIs, and all associated platforms and services.
"Course" — any educational content, video series, quiz set, or learning path offered on the Platform.
"Certificate" — a verified digital credential issued by SkillSphere Edu upon successful completion of an eligible Course.
"Credential ID" — the unique UUID assigned to each issued Certificate, stored permanently in Cloudflare KV.
"Instructor" — a third-party or employed educator who creates and delivers Course content on the Platform.
"Content" — all text, video, audio, images, code, quizzes, and other materials available through the SkillSphere Edu 's Platform(s).
"Subscription" — a recurring payment plan granting access to defined sets of Courses or features.
"KV Store" — Cloudflare Workers KV, the edge database used to store and serve Certificate records.

Section 03

User Accounts

To enroll in Courses or receive Certificates, you must create an account on our e-Learning Platform or e-Commerce Platform or Both. By doing so, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration.
Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
Notify SkillSphere Edu immediately at skillsphere.work@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
Use your legal name as it appears on government-issued identification, as this will appear on any Certificates issued.

        Name accuracy is critical: Because your name is embedded in the Certificate record stored in the Cloudflare KV database, corrections after issuance require administrative reissuance and formal request. SkillSphere Edu reserves the right to charge a nominal reissuance fee.
      

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account (or minimum 16 years of age along with your guardian's permission). SkillSphere Edu reserves the right to verify your identity before issuing a Certificate.

Section 04

Course Access & Enrollment

Licence grant

Upon successful payment or access grant, SkillSphere Edu grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the Course content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

Restrictions

You may not:

Download, copy, reproduce, or redistribute Course content in any form without written permission.
Share login credentials or grant access to Course content to any other person.
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, capture, or download Course content.
Use Course content to create derivative works for commercial purposes.

        Legal Action: If any User is found in violation of any Restrictions, SkillSphere Edu reserves the right to levy a monetary fine and to file a lawsuit against such User for recovering monetary penalties, damages, or any other costs incurred including but not limited to: Court Fee, Legal Fee, or Any Other Charges.
      

Section 05

Payments, Pricing & Refunds

Pricing

All prices are displayed in Indian Currency, i.e., INR (₹). Prices are inclusive of any applicable GST, or other Taxes as levied by the Government of India and the State Government, unless otherwise stated. SkillSphere Edu reserves the right to change prices at any time, with existing purchases unaffected.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Razorpay, RBI-authorised payment aggregator of "Razorpay Payments Private Limited". By purchasing, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service. SkillSphere Edu does not store your full payment card details.

Refund policy

24-hour Refund Guarantee — if you are unsatisfied with a Course purchase, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase, provided you have completed no more than 10% of the Course content.
Subscriptions — you may cancel a subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. No partial-period refunds are issued.
Non-refundable Items — certificate issuance/reissuance fees, business/team licences, and any promotional bundle items or individual courses marked as non-refundable.

To request a refund, email skillsphere.work@gmail.com with your order reference and payment details. Refunds are credited to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Section 06

Certificate Issuance & Validity

SkillSphere Edu issues verified digital certificates upon satisfaction of all completion criteria for eligible Courses. By receiving a Certificate, you agree to the following terms:

Issuance criteria

Completion of all required lessons and modules within the Course.
Achieving the minimum passing score on all assessed quizzes or final examinations (minimum threshold as disclosed on the Course page or Quiz page, typically 70%).
Account in good standing with no outstanding payment disputes.

Certificate Content & Accuracy

The Certificate will display your name exactly as it appears in your account at the time of issuance. It is your responsibility to ensure your name is correct before completing a Course. SkillSphere Edu shall not be liable for certificates issued with incorrect names where the user failed to update their profile.

Certificate validity

SkillSphere Edu Certificates are issued as evidence of course completion and assessed competency at the time of issuance. Some Certificates carry an expiry date where the underlying subject matter is time-sensitive (e.g., security, compliance). The Course page will clearly indicate if expiry applies.

        Certificates are non-transferable. A Certificate may only be issued in the name of the account holder who completed the Course. Fraudulently claiming another person's Certificate or completing a Course on another person's behalf is grounds for immediate account termination, monetary fine and may constitute fraud.
      

Reissuance

Certificate reissuance (e.g., name correction, duplicate request) is available upon written request to skillsphere.work@gmail.com. A fee of ₹99 per reissuance may apply. The original Credential ID may be retired and a new one issued; the old ID will resolve to the new record in the KV Store.

Section 07

Cloudflare KV Certificate Infrastructure

All issued Certificates are recorded in Cloudflare Workers KV, a globally-replicated key-value edge database. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Permanent storage: Your certificate record, identified by your unique Credential ID, will be stored in the KV Store indefinitely to ensure permanent verifiability. This is a core feature of the service, not incidental data retention.
Global distribution: KV data is replicated to multiple geographic regions globally. By accepting these Terms, you consent to this international transfer as necessary for service delivery.
Immutability: Certificate records in KV are designed to be immutable after issuance. Any modification (e.g., reissuance following a name correction) is logged in our audit system and involves retiring the prior Credential ID.
Public verification: Your Credential ID can be used to verify your Certificate at skillsphere-edu.github.io/verify.html?id=[credential-id]. This verification endpoint is public. Only certificate fields (not personal contact details) are returned.
Service continuity: SkillSphere makes reasonable efforts to maintain availability of the verification service. However, temporary unavailability due to Cloudflare infrastructure issues is outside our control and does not constitute a breach of these Terms.

Employer/Institutional verification: Third parties (employers, universities, professional bodies) may query the verification endpoint directly. SkillSphere Edu may provide bulk verification APIs to authorised institutional partners. If you do not wish your certificate to be publicly verifiable, please contact skillsphere.work@gmail.com — note that suppression renders the Certificate unverifiable.

Section 08

Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to course videos, slides, written materials, code examples, quizzes, the SkillSphere Edu name, logo, sphere mark, and all design elements — is owned by or licensed to SkillSphere Edu and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Your enrollment in a Course grants you a limited personal licence to access content as described in Section 4. It does not transfer any ownership interest or right to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works.

User-generated content (such as forum posts, project submissions, and peer reviews) remains your intellectual property. By submitting it to the Platform, you grant SkillSphere Edu a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.

Section 09

User Conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:

Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm any other user, instructor, or SkillSphere Edu Partner or employee.
Post or transmit spam, unsolicited promotional material, or phishing content.
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or connected infrastructure.
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security or access-control features.
Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party rights.
Complete a Course on behalf of another person for the purpose of fraudulently obtaining a Certificate in their name.
Use AI-assisted tools to automatically complete assessments unless explicitly permitted by the Course.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension, certificate revocation, and, where appropriate, legal action.

Section 10

Instructors & Third-Party Content

Some Courses are created by independent third-party Instructors. SkillSphere Edu reviews all content before publication but does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of Instructor-created content.

Instructors are required to comply with the SkillSphere Edu Instructor Agreement and content standards. Any complaints about Instructor content should be directed to skillsphere.work@gmail.com.

SkillSphere Edu-issued Certificates are issued on the basis of Platform assessment criteria, not solely on Instructor opinion. The SkillSphere Edu brand on a Certificate signifies that the learner passed the SkillSphere Edu assessment — not a specific Instructor's subjective evaluation.

Section 11

Disclaimers & Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SkillSphere Edu disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including:

Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Any warranty that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components.
Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content.

SkillSphere Edu Certificates evidence course completion and assessed competency. They are not professional licences, regulatory qualifications, or guarantees of employment. SkillSphere makes no representations about how employers, institutions, or regulatory bodies will treat a Certificate.

Section 12

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SkillSphere Edu's total liability to you for any claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:

The total amount paid by you to SkillSphere in the 12 months preceding the claim; or
₹2000 (Two Thousand Rupees).

In no event shall SkillSphere Edu be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if SkillSphere Edu has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Section 13

Termination & Suspension

SkillSphere Edu may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if:

You breach these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity associated with your account.
Required to do so by law or regulatory authority.
Your account has been inactive for more than 12 consecutive months (with prior notice).

By you

You may close your account at any time by emailing skillsphere.work@gmail.com. Account closure does not automatically trigger a refund for active subscriptions; refund eligibility is governed by Section 5.

Effect of termination

Upon termination, your licence to access Course content ceases immediately. Certificate records in the Cloudflare KV Store are retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Sections 7 (KV Infrastructure), 8 (IP), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Liability), and 14 (Governing Law) survive termination.

Section 14

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the State in which SkillSphere Edu is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be submitted to informal mediation by contacting skillsphere.work@gmail.com. If mediation does not resolve the matter within 90 days, either party may pursue formal legal action.

The courts of Regional Jurisdiction Area shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute.

Changes to these Terms

SkillSphere Edu may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform or SkillSphere Edu's Social Platforms at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. Previous versions are available on request.
